The Monachil River in its final stretch, before reaching the village, has carved over the years an impressive ravine in the majestic limestone rock that make up the last foothills of Sierra Nevada.
Los Cahorros, as the ravine is called, is a very famous tourist attraction in the province, which allows you to walk, at the bottom of it, through a tortuous route, with suspension bridges, caves and narrow passages sheltered by the imposing rock walls that look towards the sky.
