Strolling through the old town of Monachil is to stroll through the old town. Here life stops by the river, and peace and tranquility surrounds everything. Monachil is located in mountain territory and there are many routes that start from the town itself, including the route of the Cahorros. Heading south out of the valley, Monachil is just 15 minutes from the city of Granada and 20 minutes from the Alhambra. Monachil is full of life, bars and restaurants, concerts, and magnificent people. The Barrio de la Vega (or Barrio de Monachil) originated in the mid-twentieth century as a residential area separated a couple of kilometers from the original village. With west orientation, it has unbeatable views to the fertile plain of Granada and from its highest area are born the first pine forests of the mid-mountains of Nevada. Today it is an independent nucleus, larger than the original village, with all the necessary services and some of the best restaurants in the municipality.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Pradollano is the highest population center located between 2,200 and 2,500 meters above sea level. Welcomes mountain lovers in winter and summer.
