The town of Monachil is located at the end of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, in one of the great valleys that pour water and provide erosion materials to the fertile plain of Granada. Due to these characteristics, the village of Monachil is located in a boxed in valley where the limestone rock is the base of a powerful substrate composed mostly of clays and conglomerates and that draw a unique landscape in the area. Historically, the southern slope has been a place where a multitude of caves have been excavated to house dwellings, livestock, and storage areas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Many of the houses that today populate Monachil have some rooms excavated in the interior of the mountain. Thus, if you are interested, you can rent for example a rural accommodation in one of these caves, or you can have a drink in one of the bars that are carved into the rock<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
